“I started Shift Reputation to level the playing field by providing small businesses with this platform. Shift Reputation was born from the realization that many small businesses struggle to manage their online presence due to the high costs associated with traditional public relations firms or external consultants,” Kim explains.

Kim explains that their lean, three-member team at Shift Reputation provides many advantages and is an excellent foundation for the company’s growth.
“Currently, we are a small team of three: myself, an operations person, and a tech person. At this stage of the business, we have intentionally kept the team small to ensure efficiency and streamline operations. This approach allows us to remain agile and focused, which is crucial for the early stages of a startup like Shift Reputation.
“We recognize that to expand our operations and scale our impact, forming strategic partnerships across Africa and globally is crucial. By partnering with organizations that already have strong networks of small and medium-sized businesses, we can provide more businesses with the tools and resources they need to manage their online reputation effectively.
“These partnerships will allow us to leverage existing infrastructures, grow our user base, and broaden our reach across various regions.”
