He elaborates, “There was a clear gap in the market for a consultancy that goes beyond top-down strategy. I saw the need for an approach that integrates hands-on operational expertise with youth development, skills training, and enterprise incubation.”
Clemens’s vision was to create a platform that ensures projects are locally relevant, impactful, and supportive of emerging entrepreneurs—particularly young people—through mentorship and innovation partnerships.

Among his notable achievements is his involvement with the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit (AYTIS). “From its inception, I was closely involved in shaping it into the continent’s leading platform for youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and tourism transformation,” Clemens explains.
AYTIS has grown into a movement connecting startups with funding, ideas with action, and policy with practical impacts. It also led to the creation of the Africa Tourism Innovation Hub, designed to provide long-term infrastructure for tourism entrepreneurs.
Clemens has also spearheaded projects such as the airport hospitality precinct in Botswana, the repositioning of Zuurberg Mountain Village in South Africa, and an eco-luxury lodge in Uganda. “Each reflects our core philosophy: combine market intelligence, local identity, and operational excellence to deliver meaningful, sustainable tourism,” he states.
