Currently, Sharon is the managing director of this prestigious firm. However, it was not all rosy growing as she was orphaned at a very young age and grew up with her grandmother at a small farm. Growing up she went through so many life changing challenges from different forms of abuse to an education that was marred by lack of sponsorship. Her determination and resilience from a young age, pushed to greater prospects and along the way she acquired academic scholarships.

As she grew, she pursued music for some time after listening to a radio program and moved to Harare to explore her new found interest.  Beside her love for music, Dr James also loved fashion and designing and she began by renting out some of her dresses to models and that is how the, Style Cabin Interior idea was born.

This idea also presented itself as a challenge as she now had employees fully depending on her but however this managed to push her zeal to work. To date she has single handedly maneuvered her businesses to success and now employs over 25 people. She often narrates how having people who depend on her to feed their families and survive, has pushed her to work harder.

“In 2019, I hired two more guys and opened a small showroom in town. We added four more carpenters, and with that growth, my motivation was no longer coming from my past and my daughter, but I also had ten people looking up to me. Giving up was no longer an option”, she recalls.

Her entrepreneurial growth and success can also be attributed to her mentors who saw her passion and unwavering determination to succeed and supported her. Certified Zimbabwe growth coach, Lovemore Nyatsine has also played a part in mentoring and showing his unwavering support towards her entrepreneurial journey starting with ordering and paying for one of her furnitures and advising her when her project was headed towards a downward spiral.

“So Mr Nyatsine said to me, he sees the way I am passionate about my work and encouraged me not to give up simply because of a setback. He played the role of a father, leader and a mentor. He emphasised that all business, even the ones I admired faced their share of challenges…”, Dr James revealed.
