Arch Media Agency: Spotlighting Liberian Success Stories

In a quiet corner of Liberia, a young boy would sit wide-eyed as tales of struggle, triumph, and legacy echoed through the voices of those around him. These weren’t stories spun from fiction-they were real, raw, and alive. And Archie B Rogers listened. Not just with his ears, but with his heart. Little did anyone know, this boy would one day turn his passion for storytelling into a platform powerful enough to spotlight change-makers across an entire nation.

“I was born and raised in Liberia, where I developed an early interest in storytelling and media,” Archie begins, his voice rich with memory. “My passion for communication led me to pursue a degree in Media and Communications at Northwestern University.”

For Archie, education was more than just classes and lectures, it was transformation. It shaped not just his knowledge but his mission. “My education played a crucial role in shaping my perspective on the power of media, particularly in highlighting untold stories and giving a voice to underrepresented communities.”

Starting Arch Media Agency

The year was 2021, and Liberia’s media landscape was brimming with news but lacking in soul. There were stories waiting to be told, of entrepreneurs defying the odds, NGOs building futures, and communities rising through adversity, but no one was capturing them with the depth they deserved. Archie saw the gap. And instead of waiting for someone else to fill it, he did what every visionary does, he built the bridge himself.

“I founded Arch Media Agency in 2021 with the vision of amplifying the voices of Liberian entrepreneurs, NGOs, and change-makers through impactful storytelling,” he explains. “The media landscape in Liberia lacked dedicated platforms that focused on highlighting success stories and development efforts, which presented a unique opportunity for us.”

Arch Media Agency became that platform. Specializing in documentary filmmaking, content production, and media consultancy, the company found its purpose in spotlighting voices that mattered. “As of now, we currently collaborate with creative freelancers on a project basis,” Archie adds, demonstrating a flexible and community-driven model that supports the creative economy.

Adapting in a Changing Media World

Liberia’s media industry has evolved over the years, but not without its share of challenges and growth spurts. Archie reflects on the shifts he’s witnessed and the strategies he uses to stay relevant.

“The media industry in Liberia has seen significant growth, with more businesses and organizations realizing the importance of digital storytelling and strategic communication,” he says. “To stay ahead, we continuously invest time in research and ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.”

That commitment to innovation extends beyond just content, it’s about people too. “We also build partnerships with like-minded organizations and adapt to emerging media trends,” he adds. Archie’s approach is as much about relationships as it is about storytelling.

Overcoming the Roadblocks

But every path worth walking comes with its thorns. For Archie, the early days were marked by one of the most common yet painful challenges for entrepreneurs: funding.

“One of the biggest challenges has been securing funding/profits and resources in the early days,” he shares candidly. “Unlike traditional businesses, media production requires quality equipment and skilled personnel, which can be costly.”

Archie didn’t give up. Instead, he improvised. “We overcame some of these challenges by starting small, leveraging our skills, and reinvesting profits into the business,” he explains. Partnerships were another challenge, but even those taught him valuable lessons. “Another challenge was navigating partnerships, which taught me the importance of clear agreements, aligned visions, and open communication.”

Documentaries That Made a Difference

The impact of Arch Media Agency stretches far beyond the borders of Liberia. Through powerful visual storytelling, Archie has not only captured stories but changed lives.

“One of our proudest projects was working on impact-driven documentaries that showcased the efforts of NGOs in Liberia,” he shares with pride. “These films not only amplified their initiatives but also attracted international attention and funding.”

It’s a clear testament to what happens when purpose meets execution. “Our work in covering entrepreneurial journeys in Liberia has also inspired young business owners and positioned our agency as a key player in storytelling,” he adds.

Giving Back and Lifting Others

For Archie, success is sweeter when shared. That’s why his efforts extend beyond business.

“I have a strong passion for youth empowerment and mentorship,” he says. In one of his most rewarding initiatives, Archie teamed up with GoNet Liberia to host a one-day workshop on digital communication and social media trends. “My team and I previously partnered with GoNet Liberia, a leading professional institution in the country, to host a one-day workshop on digital communication and social media trends.”

But he doesn’t stop there. “Moreover, I support initiatives that promote entrepreneurship and digital literacy in Liberia.”

Words of Wisdom for Newcomers

“Start with what you have,” he advises. “Many people wait for perfect conditions, but success comes from taking the first step.” It’s advice that’s both practical and empowering. “Focus on building a strong portfolio, networking with industry professionals, and continuously improving your craft. Also, leverage free and low-cost tools available online to enhance your work.”

The Future of Storytelling

Archie is not just riding the wave of change, he’s helping to steer it. “The rise of AI-powered content creation and data-driven storytelling is exciting,” he says. “These tools help improve efficiency and engagement.”

And he’s not done dreaming. “We’re also exploring immersive media, such as 360-degree videos, to enhance our documentary storytelling.” As for what’s next? “I am currently working on producing a new series of short videos highlighting small business owners that produce products made in Liberia.”

The Lesson That Changed Everything

Behind every successful entrepreneur is a guiding principle. For Archie, it’s about more than profit.

“The most significant lesson is that business is not just about making money, it’s about impact and relationships,” he says. “Leadership requires adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn.”

And then he adds something profound. “I’ve learned that success is a journey, and every challenge presents an opportunity for growth.”

Archie B Rogers is more than just a filmmaker or entrepreneur. He’s a storyteller with a mission, a mentor with a vision, and a leader building a legacy. From a curious child in Liberia to the founder of Arch Media Agency, his journey is a reminder that stories have power, not just to entertain, but to transform.
